Description

Have you got great connections in Medical Data Networks in the UK and EMEA? If you have experience setting up partnering networks around AI and Data acquisition sources, ideally leading a team we have your perfect role. 

Our client exists to find the right treatment for every patient. Our focus is to use artificial intelligence to discover and develop better treatments for unmet medical needs, starting with the fight against cancer, cardiovascular disease and we are growing into other Therapeutic Areas. 

Our client has signficant investment for Pharma clients to grow. As a result, we are now looking for the brightest and best to help us to go even further in achieving their mission.

The Director role is ideally based in the Uk. 

We also have Partnership Manager roles in UK, Germany/Austria/Switzerland (DACH), the Netherlands, Belium, France and the US.

The Partnerships Director has the opportunity to lead Owkin's partnerships with academic players through AI research project collaborations, in multiple Therapeutic Areas with a focus on the UK but also across EMEA and globally.

As a Partnerships Director, you will have to lead strategy to develop and lead partnerships with academic players to secure access to multimodal datasets. With many partnerships already contracted in Europe and in the US with the most prestigious medical and research centers (e.g. APHP, Gustave Roussy, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, King's College London among others), with the ambition is to triple this number a year from now.

You will report to the local VP of Partnerships and work directly with scientific, legal and IT teams.

Owkin is looking to fill in several open positions for the UK, Germany/Austria/Switzerland and the Netherlands, France and the US across all levels

In particular, you will:

  • Identify academic researchers and institutes to explore potential collaborations with
  • Lead day to day engagement with these academic partners to develop long term collaborations
  • Maintain academic partner account relationships and processes
  • Lead negotiations of contract terms with legal teams, with support from Owkin's legal team
  • Strengthen relationships with KOLs and develop the Owkin network
  • Interact with pharmas business development to drive the sales strategy
  • Interact with the R&D team to develop skills in machine learning for biomedical data

According to your territory of responsibilities, you will be attached to one of our offices but work with a local contract in full remote from one of the countries you are in charge of.
