- Description
We are looking for a Contract Manager for our client's network of clinical sites. You will need to be a good communicator and negotiator, based at our client's site in West London. You will ensure all contracts related to client's studies and other general matters are signed and implemented to the highest standards and all general office projects are delivered in compliance with all applicable regulatory and legal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the whole contracting process, once the Statement of Work SOW between two parties is finalised,
- Coordinates with the respective departments within (like due diligence, data protection, external partner, QA/compliance) to get the contract template ready for review and finalisation.
- Study budgets, develop metrics and KPI development and application, and oversee contract management lifecycles and governance.
- Develop, negotiate and maintain contracts.
- Assure contractual arrangements meet financial targets and legal/regulatory compliance requirements.
- Facilitate the approval process of all contract documents from pre-contract through post signature phases.
- Responsible for the accuracy of supporting documentation for contracts and completing documents accurately.
- Develop and maintain processes that provide timely notification of critical contract events (e.g., renewals, termination and due dates contained within the agreements).
- Maintain existing relationships with contracted providers. Ensure contractual language is kept current.
- Coordinate and communicate contractual terms to the finance department.
- Develop and maintain periodic, e.g., bi-weekly, reports on the status of all contracts.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Legal Degree, or minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
- Willingness to actively participate in all aspects of the contract administrative process. This is a hands-on working role as opposed to a lead and direct staff role.
- Exceptional and proven provider partnership skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent contract negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external groups
- Results driven, persistent - able to self-direct and work independently showing initiative, while seeking guidance when appropriate
- Excellent IT skills like MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, Ability to train new staff and to monitor their performance
- Must be experts in clinical research and have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
