We have a great role for a Strategic Proposal Writer, ideally from a CRO background, to work with our client in London to lead and develop their proposal process.
Purpose of the Role:
The Strategic Proposal Writer leads the on-time delivery of accurate proposals and assists with the response to RFIs. Manages the entire proposal process from start to finish ensuring accuracy and integrity of all proposals coming out of final production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the proposal writing and development process to ensure high quality, timely proposals are submitted to sponsor companies that support business and financial objectives.
- Develop cohesive, well-organized proposals that are focused and responsive to client requirements.
- Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) within required timelines.
- Proofread all final proposals prior to submission to ensure all proposal requirements are met and proposal is accurate.
- Ensure any proposed adjustments to pricing (including discounting) or services proposed are reviewed and approved in accordance with Company policies.
- Manage the internal proposal sign off process.
- Set, agree and report Proposal KPIs on a monthly basis to Leadership.
- Ensures accurate and clear handover of proposal and Scope of Work (SOW) to Legal Counsel to support contracting process.
- Presents detail of proposal to operational and science representatives to ensure visibility of expected bookings is provided in a timely fashion.
- Maintain Sales Force status of proposed, awarded and contracted opportunities.
- Maintain and develop work instructions and SOPs pertaining to the proposal process
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Understanding of neuroscience and quickly learn product and service offering.
- Undergraduate degree or international equivalent in a health sciences or business discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Proven CRO/Pharmaceutical/Biotech office experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be familiar with maintaining and managing a customer relationship database (CRM). Salesforce.com experience preferable.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate tenacity, proactivity, and initiative.
- Thorough knowledge of the proposal process and familiarity with legal and contracting process.
