Director of Risk Based Monitoring Services

Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. This role is for a Director of Risk Based Monitoring Services who is a thought leader in centralised and risk based monitoring.

Pop Science are working in Partnership exclusively looking for this Director of Risk Based Monitoring Services, working with clients who want to apply knowledge and experience to the creation of a leading edge technology for the clinical trials industry.

The Role

The Director of Risk Based Monitoring (RBM) Services is a critical role in our business model, reporting directly into the COO. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the professional services team that will work with our customers to implement our system RBM for clinical studies, which includes protocol risk assessment and centralized monitoring applications. In addition, the role will be a key stakeholder in the Product Roadmap, providing input into business strategy and direction of our product.

In this role your primary responsibility will be to act as an ambassador for us working on industry bodies, such as MCC; hire, develop and manage of a team that will deliver services and product to support RBM and Centralized Monitoring. There is still a lot of client education required during the pre-sales cycle and in this role, you will also be required to be a Subject Matter Expert that will support the sales cycle in being able to demonstrate the benefits of our approach, services and product.

The Candidate

Must have direct experience of implementing Centralized/Risk Based Monitoring processes with a proven track record of building and managing a service delivery team, either from a clinical operations or clinical data management background.

  • Ability to demonstrate and apply critical thinking to KRI and data visualization design and centralized monitoring implementation
  • Experience of Software Development Lifecycle, as a stakeholder

You will be responsible for:

  • Building a team of RBM Business and Implementation Consultants
  • Employee training and onboarding
  • Line Management
  • Pre-sales support
  • Support RFP responses and SOW development
  • Budget holder for professional services
  • Developing cost models for professional services
  • Resource forecasting
  • Ambassador for us at conferences and industry bodies
  • Develop/improve processes for our implementation, centralized monitoring, client onboarding.
  • Oversight of client projects
  • Collaborations with development and test for study build

Initially as the team grows, you will have to be hands on with business consultation activities:

  • Protocol risk assessments and training
  • ICH E6 R2 gap analysis
  • Development of centralized monitoring plans
  • KRI Definition
  • Support clients with central monitoring reviews
