We are delighted to work with one of our preferred partners to bring you this permanent Opportunity as Senior Scientific Medical Writer to be office based in Central London.
You would be joining a global family of best-in-class agency brands with expertise in strategic analysis, medical communications, interactive marketing, brand awareness, advertising, marketing communications, public relations, and sales training. With a global network of agencies partnering with leading healthcare brands around the world.

You should recognise yourself here:

  • Proven past experience in a pharmaceutical / science writing role
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development and approval process
  • Solid background in science
  • High level of capability to take a job through from briefing to final delivery
  • Experience providing evidence-based scientific direction to account teams, clients and other stakeholders, in relation to brand strategy and in a code compliant manner

Science writing and responsibilities…

  • To take briefs and ensure complete understanding of client requirements
  • Responsible for writing specific projects as assigned (outlines, manuscripts, abstracts, slide presentations, posters, newsletters, independent papers, articles, business cases, etc) within the constraints of the brief at a high level of written and technical accuracy and adapting style of writing to audience
  • Responsible for researching assigned projects (including internet-based research, reading any supplied background materials, journal articles, study reports, etc)
  • Preparing drafts of graphics (tables, hand-drawn figures, charts) for inclusion in projects
  • Work closely with clients, KOLs and other stakeholders to incorporate specific requirements and any changes to written materials
  • Responsible for fact checking and spell checking manuscripts / project materials before submission for internal editorial and strategic review
  • Supporting the development and sign-off of promotional materials and educational campaigns through data provision, evaluation and assessment of scientific content, ensuring that data are used and presented in an appropriate way
  • Ensuring the medical accuracy of materials, their compliance with product licences and relevant codes of practice and that referencing is relevant and accurate
  • Advising colleagues (and clients where appropriate) on strategy and direction of projects and new business opportunities, based on scientific understanding and evidence
  • Reviewing content of clinical papers, extracting relevant content to provide medical evidence and data for inclusion in projects, new business and competitor intelligence
  • Providing high-quality medical writing, editorial and QC input when required

Qualifications

PHD IN Life Science or related is preferred,
