Account Executive
UK based (remote)
20-25 hours p/week initially (flexibility to adjust as needed)
Independent Contract role
£Salary flexible dependent on experienceA brand new role for an Account Executive to cover the UK market and manage the full sales cycle for designated prospective new customers. The account executive will be required to prospect, qualify, negotiate orders, and successfully position and sell the company product. Target clients will largely be in the academic research market, therefore, any previous experience operating in such markets would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop extensive knowledge of the clinical research domain, including different phases and designs of studies, stakeholder roles and objectives, common processes, data standards, domestic and international regulatory issues
- Understand where the product fits within the broader clinical research ecosystem for potential cross selling opportunities
- Become an expert in the Patient recruitment market in the UK.
- Identify ideal prospective customers and understanding the challenges they face in patient recruitment
- Map accounts, identifying stakeholders and their roles in the sales process; design and carry out a sales process tailored to the stakeholders and their needs
- Leverage internal colleagues in ways that help maximize effectiveness of the sales effort (bring in subject matter experts as appropriate, facilitate strategizing, negotiation, etc.)
- Communicate the products value to prospective customers in a compelling and personalized manner
- Enthusiastically represent the company brand; help prospects get excited about how the solution can solve their problems
- Develop a high level of proficiency in using the company software and showing prospective customers in a hands-on manner how it can solve their specific challenges
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the product roadmap; develop proficiency with new features as they are released
- Maintain a high level of organization: including timely and consistent follow-ups with leads and opportunities; Ensure CRM records are accurate and up-to-date; Regular consistent prospecting to build pipeline; ? Exhibit superb time and schedule management
- Participate in trade shows to grow sales leads
- Meet or exceed agreed quota
- Other duties may be assigned as appropriate
This role is working for an established and successful clinical research organisation who are expanding and creating a UK entity. It's an opportunity for someone who is willing to help the company start small and build over time. Initially the role will be part-time but there is flexibility to adjust this if required.
