Are you an Software Tester looking for a remote role for a growing Life Science Technology client? The role is based at home with monthly team meetings. You will be working in a smaller company so great communication and able to work remotely. The team are really supportive. 

You should have proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or in a similar quality assurance role using Agile and SDLC.

Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Plan or similar tools and ideally with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium.

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design principles, and defect tracking systems

The role is working in Saas within a regulated product, ideally clinical trials

Key Functions The key functions performed by the Software Test Engineer will include, but may not be limited to, the following areas:

• Support the software test and validation processes in performing the test requirement assessments for new software releases.
• Work with the test manager to determine test approach and scope based on the assessment.
• Provide test effort estimates to the test manager.
• Work with the Product Owner(s) to understand the use cases ,acceptance criteria, requirements, and design specifications.
• Develop test plans based on the requirements, acceptance criteria and use cases.
• Develop user acceptance test cases to support software releases.
• Execute test cases.
• Exploratory, End-to-end, Functional and other types of testing that is required.
• Reporting Bugs (via Azure DevOps).
• Provide input into validation and test reports.
• Ensure the quality of the test deliverables.
• Be an expert with respect to the OPRA SaaS product.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a very keen attention to detail.
• Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or in a similar quality assurance role.

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design principles, and defect tracking systems.

• Proficiency in manual testing techniques and experience with test management tools.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Plan or similar tools.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Must have technical knowledge of SDLC.

Nice to have skills or qualifications:

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium
• ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, or accessibility testing.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as C#, JavaScript.
• Knowledge of web technologies and Restful & GraphQL API testing.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems is highly desired.
