Description

Are you a DevOps Manager looking for a remote role for a rapidly growing Life Science Technology client? This valuable role will lead the DevOps for the business. You will make a big difference helping to manage software that supports clinical research and patients. There is flexibility with location so working from home anywhere in the UK is supported, with our client's offices in Cambridge

 

Key Skills:

  • Manage the CloudOps team of 1- 2 CloudOps Engineers
  • Work with the CTPO, COO, Head of Development & Test Manager to optimise and simplify validation process to achieve more efficient software release cycles.
  • Work with the relevant teams to support any audit processes.
  • Develop, document and update CloudOps Policies, Standard
  • Operating Procedures and Working Procedures supporting the quality Management System.
  • Be part of the team that is responsible for completing the software release validation process to enable the successful & predictable deployment into the client facing environments.
  • Be responsible for maintaining a list of all managed software and any scheduled updates
  • Manage application configuration and secrets within the client facing environments.
  • Responsible for running, managing & reporting on software penetration tests completed by 3 rd party supplier.
  • Manage infrastructure security and compliance.
  • Be a key escalation point for customer / platform issues.
  • Develop, manage and improve team processes to ensure compliance and auditability.
  • Problem solve issues, record appropriate Azure DevOps Work
  • Items, Bugs and Issues and report & track accordingly with Customer support
  • Work with the CTPO to set team KPIs and continually review &
  • report on performance and service level targets
  • Manage monitoring and alerting through DataDog to ensure
  • proactive alerting is maintained.
  • Manage and secure third-party access to internal systems.
  • Manage & report on MongoDB Atlas performance.
  • PagerDuty management & assignment for out of hours support 24/7 callout rota.
  • Develop Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) team skills
  • Develop Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) team skills
  • Develop MongoDB Atlas team skills
  • Create, maintain and debug docker build scripts
  • Setup, debug, administer and maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters and their scripts 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in debugging and solving issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure including VMs.Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps, specifically CI/CD pipelines. Scripting knowledge (JavaScript/JSON, PowerShell, Bash, etc)
  • Experience securing web applications & databases
  • Familiarity with MongoDB databases
  • Experience working with Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of DataDog or other logging & monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of PagerDuty or other notification systems.
  • Apache Web Server
  •  NGINX Ingress Controller
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare
  • Familiarity with Azure Application Insights Monitoring
