We've got a brilliant role for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our client's team in exciting expansion times. You will need to have a good background in clinical trials and ideally biometrics too.
If you are a driven and autonomous sales person who is keen to be a key part of a growing CRO this role is perfect for you.
This role is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and closing new business opportunities in the US across all business units and promoting services throughout the biotech and pharmaceutical industry in the US.
Key Responsibilities

- Work with Sales & Marketing Director to deliver revenue targets
- Research and identify new business opportunities, growth areas, competitor, industry and geographic trends
- Develop manage and deliver a pipeline of activity in the
- Understand the service offering and grow the brand in the US
- Develop an already established network of contacts and build relationships to increase the client's profile
- Focus network of contacts to the Statistics and Programming field
- Understand the needs of potential clients and work with them to develop mutually beneficial working relationships
- Attend networking events and conferences
- Work with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote the clients' service line and their company values and ethos
- Collaborate with stakeholders from operational and commercial teams to gain a thorough understanding of the clients' service line, their company values and ethos and to win business
- Record all activity including accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities and tasks in Salesforce
- Provide weekly update to Sales & Marketing Director on leads and pipeline of work
- Respond to RFIs and RFPs
- Prepare proposals and SLAs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferably in science-related field
- 5+ year's experience in Business Development for a CRO
- Proven ability to achieve and surpass sales targets
- Proven ability to establish, grow and maintain a client base
