Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. Are you experienced in application testing, user interface and data integration testing within Life Sciences?

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual, who wants to apply their knowledge and experience of software application and integration testing within a growing team and is looking for opportunities for professional growth in areas such as automated testing in a continuous integration and continuous deployment process, testing of computer simulated data models.

You will be working on the client platform which is continually growing and evolving to address the needs and requirements of the Industry, with 2 major release cycles per year, the testing will include User Interface as well as data integration and aggregation. Our SDLC follows an Agile methodology, using Kanban, which is managed in MS Azure DevOps. We follow a continuous integration continuous development (CICD) process in our pre-validation/production environments and are using Selenium

In the clinical trials industry, validation of products that are used to inform decisions on patient safety and well-being and data quality and integrity is of the utmost importance. This role is critical in ensuring the quality of the platform product and our study builds.

Experience in application testing, ideally to include both user interface and data integration testing. Industry experience would be an advantage but not essential. Experience with Selenium or other automated test tools would be an advantage but not essential.

Technical Experience (not exclusive)

• Working knowledge of industry standards for software development and testing i.e. ISO/IEC 9003: 2004, Software Engineers - Guidelines for the application of ISO 9001:2000 to computer software
• Experience of working with Microsoft Azure Test Manager
• Experience of working with user stories, requirements, acceptance test criteria to develop automated test cases
• Experience of test execution cycles and metrics
• Experience of working within agile/scrum software development life cycle
• Experience of testing data integration, extraction, and aggregation routines

The following skills would be an advantage but not essential:

• Working knowledge of industry standards for software development and validation would be an advantage but not essential i.e. ICH E6, GaMP5, FDA Regulation 21 CFR Part 11, FDA Guidance for Industry on Computer Systems used in Clinical Investigations, FDA General Principles for Software Validation, EudraLex Volume 4 Annex 11: Computerized Systems.
• Experience with Selenium
• Experience of Selenium in combination with Java, Javascript and C#

You will be responsible for:

• Working with the validation lead and test lead to determine test approach and scope based on risk assessment and acceptance criteria
• Providing test effort estimates to the test lead
• Working with the BA/Designers to understand the user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria
• Developing Operational Qualification (OQ) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) test cases that demonstrate the system meets with requirements and acceptance criteria
• Executing test cycles
• Providing input into validation/testing reports
• Ensuring quality of the test deliverables
• This role may also be involved in the development of automated test cases, if the candidate has a desire to progress into this area
