Our client is looking for a strong Senior Software Tester who is can lead work tracks, train and mentor as well as being an outstanding software tester. You will be an integral part of our client's testing team responsible for testing our mobile applications and web services. The role will bring plenty of interesting technical challenges and provide the opportunity for personal growth.

Our client has a market leading data capture platform for clinical trials, that patients love to use. Our client is based in London, UK, but remote working is also permitted, you should be interested in global work as their product reaches patients all around the world.  You will need to the right to work in the Uk and be able to get to the office for meetings, when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Test Lead in developing and maintaining test strategies and processes. You will have your own work tracks to manage
• Mentoring and assisting other members of the test team
• Defining testing requirements for new products and features
• Creating, maintaining and executing test scripts
• Carrying out testing on mobile and web platforms
• Raising, retesting and closing defects
• Working closely with developers to investigate problems
• Carrying out exploratory testing
• Authoring and reviewing test documentation
• Support iterative product development through agile delivery teams and frameworks

Requirements

• Strong experience of testing web applications
• Strong experience of testing native mobile applications on iOS and Android
• Good understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing
• Strong experience of defining test cases for new functionality
• Strong experience in executing and maintaining test cases
• Experience of using a defect management system (JIRA preferred, but others are ok)
• Solid understanding of Software development lifecycles and agile principles
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team

Experience that is also useful

• Atlassian Suite (JIRA / Confluence in particular, Zephyr a bonus)
• Previous experience in any regulated industry, ideally in life science technology 
• Non-functional testing experience (such as Performance, Security and Accessibility)
• API testing
