- Description
Due to an exciting expansion, our client is looking for Android Developers to join their team. If you are interested in developing cutting edge mHealth software that helps and supports patients in clinical trials, this is a great role for you. Ideally, you'd be based in London but we can consider remote working.
The role offers the opportunity to work within our Agile, multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery of our patient-centric platform. You will be an integral part of our Android product team owning the development of key features. The role will bring plenty of technical challenges and provide opportunity for personal growth.
You should:
- Be passionate about technology
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a positive "can-do" attitude
- Be fluent in Java and Kotlin
- Write high-quality and testable code
- Be capable of managing your time and prioritising tasks
- Have experience releasing commercial applications in the Google Play Store
- Have experience in Jira and Github in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Advise, estimate, and deliver proposed features
- Deliver high quality code
- Create unit and automated tests
- Improve quality of existing code base
- Support testers in their roles
- Advise on new and existing issues
- Contribute to developer code reviews
Requirements
- Experience in Android native mobile development, working in Agile teams
- Good knowledge of Android UI design principles and software design patterns
- Experience with both Java and Kotlin
- Understanding of OO programming principles
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
Nice to have
- CI/CD
- JUnit / Espresso
- Docker
- Previous experience in a regulated industry (clinical, financial, etc.)
- Commercial experience with applications that use encryption and secure communication
