Are you an Account Director or Business Unit Lead who is an expert in Medical Communications? Our client is market leading in Medical Communications and needs someone with strong leadership and client skills to join their rapidly growing team. This role is ideally based in the London office, COVID permitting.
We are looking for someone with a great leadership presence, who loves delighting their clients with innovative Med Comms projects.

As part of the Medical Communications team, you'll be responsible for the following activities:
- Full ownership of the communications programme for each client, ranging from strategic input to day-to-day management of tactics, based on the specific needs for each account
- Ensure optimal financial management of each account and demonstrate a clear understanding of all financial processes within the business
- Monitor forecast and plans in conjunction with your Account Team to ensure business objectives are met, on time and within budget
- Thorough understanding of the clients' business objectives, product strategy and relevant therapeutic area. Clear communication of this to the inhouse teams, acting as the client's advocate
- In depth understanding of the relevant policies and processes that impact the pharmaceutical industry e.g. compliance - ABPI, EFPIA
- Responsibility for building and maintaining professional relationships with opinion leaders at a UK, EU and global level
- Manage and influence senior-level client contacts and maintain positive working relationships, immediately identifying any issues and leading remedial action, as required
- Promote the clients Medical Communications services to all clients, identifying new business opportunities and working collaboratively across the group as requires
- Managing issue escalations with the company leaderships regarding key accounts and the account team, as appropriate
- Communications procedures and quality standards across all account team members
- Contribute to discussions regarding overall company strategy
- Ensure effective cross-company working on integrated accounts, where appropriate
- Line management responsibility of Account team where appropriate
