Patient Centred Outcomes (PCO) - Marlow
Specialising in the generation of data that matter to patients. PCOs enable the scientifically robust measurement of disease, treatment benefit or unmet need from the perspective of the patient and/or their family members or carers.

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for the following activities:
- Provide strategic and scientific guidance and oversight on projects relating to PCO
- Ensure the scientific quality and integrity of all PCO methodology
- Keep up-to-date with methodologies and guidelines (e.g. scientific, regulatory, and market access developments, both in terms of new methodology and new activities ) and communicate findings to PCO groups as needed
- Develop innovative and relevant PCO evidence solutions and confidently discuss key pharmaceutical industry priorities
- Actively drive the conduct of both qualitative and quantitative research and broader consultancy projects e.g. literature reviews, gap analyses, instrument, selection development and/or validation to meet industry clients' Real World or drug development PCO data needs
- Input to projects and lead the team to ensure high quality and innovative:
- Generation of study proposals and designs
- Analysis, communication, and publication of impactful research to support client evidence needs/value propositions
- Provision of technical expertise in the analysis and dissemination of PCO data
- Assessment and interpretation of relevant literature
- Contribute to the scientific literature in the form of manuscripts and publications when appropriate e.g. present at scientific conferences and/or publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Drive and provide training on PCO-related topics to clients and colleagues
- Providing strategic consultancy to life science industry clients as an expert in PCO across various stages of the product lifecycle e.g. development and delivery of PCO endpoint, measurement strategy and advice on technical implementation
- Actively drive business development efforts by keeping up with relevant industry developments, building relationships with new and existing clients, bringing in new leads, and supervising proposal writing
- Leading credentials and bid defence presentations to include RWE capabilities and case examples where appropriate
- Effectively manage difficult situations and supports positive solutions
- Actively promote positive working relationships, offering training and mentoring to others
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain awareness of PCO related updates to establish communication with key outcomes research opinion leaders
- Contribute to the continuing achievements and targets through the successful delivery of project documentation and by driving internal PCO initiatives to raise the external profile of the company
- Attend regular internal team meetings to facilitate a collaborative approach to all projects
- Maintain quality and accuracy in all activities, following Standard Operating Procedures
What you'll bring:
- Minimum Requirement: Doctoral, or Master's in Science, Health Services Research, Statistics, Psychometrics, Outcomes Research or closely related field
- Minimum 5+ years post PhD or 7+ years post-Master's degree in the pharmaceutical industry and/or academic experience in PCO research
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in health care consultancy, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex and strategic messages
- Minimum 5+ years' experience of directly conducting health research
- Driving licence
- Willingness to travel
