Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. This role is for a Front-End Developer who is passionate about technology and keen to learn new development skills.
Pop Science are working in Partnership exclusively looking for this Front-End developer Developer, working with clients who want to apply knowledge and experience to the creation of a leading edge technology for the clinical trials industry.
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Front-End Developer, with advanced experience building complex and scalable web applications and APIs using the latest technologies. This role will work closely with our development lead, designers, and testers in a fast-paced environment to plan, develop, test, and deploy a data-intensive, responsive and scalable web application.
In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of functional and visual solutions for our web application. We are looking for dependable and consistent output and delivery - those are key metrics that will determine whether you are the right candidate for this role. You must have a strong passion for learning new things, exploring new ways of doing things, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. Creative problem solving, attention to detail, and clean code are also required skills for this role. Collaboration is also a large part of the development and overall team culture so the ability to work and collaborate with others is a requirement.

Skills
Minimum of three years of relevant development experience
- Self-motivated
- Enjoy working in a small results-oriented team
- Creative and visionary
- Ability to transition concepts and vision into detailed specifications and on to reliable, high quality products
- Ability to take responsibility for the consistency and quality of all deliverables
Technical Experience (not exclusive)
- Experience in building applications using React and Redux
- Experience in building single-page applications (SPA) and websites
- Extensive experience and best-practice knowledge covering building web applications with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with stylesheet languages such as SASS/LESS.
- Experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Material-UI
- Experience with responsive web design
- Experience with consuming RESTful web services (APIs)
- Working with JSON data structures
- Proficient in debugging and solving issues
- Experience with version control systems such as GIT or VSTS
- Exposure to cloud-based environments such as Microsoft Azure Dev-Ops.
Desired but not essential
- Understanding design patterns of object-oriented & functional programming, Redux/Flux architectures, concepts of abstraction, etc.
- Exposure or experience with C#, Node, GraphQL/Apollo, D3
You will be responsible for:
- Architecting and implementing a powerful front-end data visualization solution using the latest technologies
- Working at the direction of development lead and in collaboration with other developers/engineers and designers to solve problems and complete projects successfully and on time
- Diagnosing and solving cross browser issues and bugs
- Contributing to peer code reviews and pair-programming
- Refactoring and optimizing code
- Sharing knowledge with and collaborating with other developers
