SQL Developer - Cambridge
Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. This role is for a SQL Developer who is passionate about technology and coding.
Pop Science are working in Partnership exclusively looking for a strong SQL Developer (office based in Cambridge) that wants to apply knowledge and experience to the creation of a leading edge web application for the clinical trials industry.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven SQL Developer, who wants to apply knowledge, experience and vision in the development of world class, leading cloud-based platforms for the clinical trials industry. You will be working on our product, which is continually growing and evolving to address the needs and requirements of the Industry. This role is primarily responsible for creating the SQL stored procedures that will support the clinical trial build of our software.
You will work as part of the Study Build team with implementation consultants. Based on the requirements and data scenarios you will write procedures to extract, transform and load (ETL) data from the source into the our application.
You will also be responsible for unit testing, bug fixes and maintenance of the SQL stored procedures.
There are opportunities to get involved in the product and application development too, as part of this role. We need someone who is a strong collaborator.

Skills
- Minimum of three years of relevant development experience
- Self-motivated
- Enjoy working in a small results-oriented team
- Detailed orientated
- Ability to transition requirements and design into technical specifications and on to reliable, high quality stored procedures
- Ability to take responsibility for the consistency and quality of all deliverables
- Interested in data structure
Technical Experience (not exclusive)
· Strong development experience in: Microsoft SQL Server
Nice to have:
- C# and Visual Studio
- ASP.Net, MVC 5 and Razor View Engine
- Entity Framework
- JavaScript / JQuery
- CSS Scripting
- Microsoft Azure
- Web Design
- Telerik,Kendo and UI
- Multi-threading
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering SQL stored procedures for study builds, to potentially aggressive timescales
- Unit testing, code deployment
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- There may be opportunity to get involved in the development of application functionality in the team environment
