Our client is looking for an inspirational and dynamic Senior Project Manager, Medical Statistics to join their accomplished and respected team near Zürich.
You would be joining a medically guided, not-for-profit organisation led by an international group of surgeons specialised in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
Their mission is to be a leading research organisation providing evidence-based knowledge through independently conducted clinical studies, education, and methodological services, in order to facilitate clinical decision making in the field of trauma or musculoskeletal disorders. Currently, they support clinical research in more than 300 clinics worldwide.

As a Senior Project Manager, Medical Statistics, you will be able to provide scientific guidance as well as methodical and statistical expertise in all phases of assigned projects.
See below for an idea of what you will be doing.
In general:- Functional lead of the statistical team, including resource planning and leading the statistics team meetings
- Support Medical Scientific Affairs Manager in strategic decisions related to statistical team (eg, development of statistical budgets)
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to statistics
- Statistical consultancy for external partners, including support for peer-reviewed publications
Statistical Analysis of Clinical Data:
- Methodological and statistical support for all phases of clinical studies, including the development and execution of health economic analysis in clinical research, including: sample size calculation, statistical analysis plan development, final study analysis, supporting the development of final study reports and manuscripts
Statistical Support:
- Make complex statistical analyses comprehensible to laypersons, and translate their results into recommendations for clinical practice
- Facilitate publication of scientific results (peer-reviews publications, presentation at international meetings)
- Statistical analysis of non-clinical data
You should be able to recognise yourself below:
- MSc degree in statistics or equivalent qualifications combined with experience in a bio-medical discipline
- Sound SAS programming skills, additional programming skills in Stata welcome
- Education and practical experience in econometrics
- Advanced experience in analysis of clinical research data
- Excellent knowledge of statistics and numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and reliability is a given
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Industry-leading writing skills for scientific publications
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Previous success in leadership and line management with experience in leading statistics teams
