SENIOR MEDICAL WRITER
Central London, Office Based role
£50,000 negotiable dependent on experience.

An exceptional Research establishment has an opening for a Senior Medical Writer to join their successful team in London.
Internationally renowned for their pioneering research into Cardiovascular disease, they aim to understand the disease process and develop novel and affordable therapies in order to prevent long term disability; reducing healthcare costs and changing patient outcomes. You will be working alongside a dedicated, expert team, on a multidisciplinary programme of laboratory and clinical research.
As Senior Medical Writer, you will use your in-depth scientific expertise and extensive editorial experience to contribute to the effective leadership of projects, take ownership for quality and provide scientific council for clients. You will work closely with senior team members to develop scientific strategy and contribute to pitching and new business development. This varied and rewarding role will also see you line-manage and mentor junior writers.

Requirements- Scientific or clinical degree essential; advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD) strongly preferred, and a wealth of writing experience
- Proven track record in Medical Communications, preferably within a medical communications agency
- Ability to digest complex scientific and clinical information and write compelling content for diverse healthcare professional audiences across a wide range of medical communication projects
- Familiarity with ICMJE, GPP2, STROBE and other publication standards is preferred
- Excellent strategic, leadership and client facing skills
