Our client is a rapidly expanding clinical technology company. We are looking for an expert software development manager to join their team. You will need to be able to reach London and Winchester offices regularly.

The role has overall responsibility for managing the software development operations at our client's sites. Responsible for ensuring the resources involved in the software development activities are working effectively to achieve the companies business objectives as they relate to the development and release of leading edge software.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for maintaining, hiring and developing a high performing Software Development team

* Works with the CEO/CTO, Head of Software Engineering and Assistant Product Manager to define Vision and Strategy for the product

* Maintains a high level design and release plan beyond next iterations and is measured against delivering functional blocks in alignment with this plan

* Work within a budget tracking R&D costs against plan

* Managing the ongoing development of our software products to achieve our agreed business objectives

* Ensuring a quality product is released following the appropriate level of quality assurance

What we are looking for:

* An experienced software manager preferably within the clinical technology sector

* Lots of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

* Good clinical research knowledge

* Experienced in working with EDC, IWRS, CTMS and Drug Safety

* JAVA/MONGO and Google web toolkit experience is essential

* Understands integration through RestFUL Web services/Public API release and management

* Exposure to the development and management of solutions for SAAS or Cloud Computing environmenets
