Description

Our client is a world-class cancer research organisation with international ratings of excellence across all of its programmes. The client is a multi-disciplinary clinical trials unit, which comprises more than 70 staff including statisticians, trials managers/co-ordinators, data managers and research, IT and administrative support staff.

They are looking for an Senior Applications Engineer to join their team in Surrey.

The role would suit an experienced Clinical Programmer who is interested in cutting edge research trials. This role would involve leading the design, programming, validation and documentation of new and existing clinical trial systems.

Responsibilities:

While working closely with the other IT staff at the client site the main duties will include

  • Designing the program, validating and maintaining the clinical trials system and database.

  • Encompassing the full software development lifecycle using web-based and Windows technology.

  • Developing data extraction systems and interfaces to allow maximum data portability between CDBMS, Randomisation system and Pharmacovigilance system.

  • Providing user training, documentation and support to end-users for developed systems.

  • Deployment and management of the Citrix server and related services.


What we are looking for:

  • An experienced Senior Applications Engineer who understands clinical trial systems and has previously worked in developing trail systems.

  • Confident user in doing trial design using programme languages c# and ASP.net.

  • Someone who understands SQL services and other programmes such as API programming and can write Microsoft SQL scripts.

  • A first degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems as well as knowledge of working in an IT environment.

  • Impeccable attention to detail.

  • Experienced working with SOP's and an appreciation of quality management.

  • Knowledge of Biological/Biochemical science and MACRO clinical trial data management system is preferred.

  • Experience using HTML 5.0 and AJAX is also preferred.
