Our client, a rapidly expanding Life Sciences technology company focused on helping companies who run clinical trials, is recruiting for a European Business Development Manager.

You will need to be passionate about clinical trials and technology and be a confident communicator. You will need to learn quickly but the existing team at the client are very supportive with training. The company recognises talent and will be able to develop the role around you. The role offers a competitive salary and uncapped commission.
The Business Development role involves working with CROs and sponsor clients to develop deals across a range of technologies including ERP, EDC and Pharmacovigilance safety databases. They also offers supporting services which include hosting, installation and validation, helpdesk, eLearning, data integration and data visualisation.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team to further the development of our client base. This role will be well supported but quite autonomous, with scope to grow a Business Development and Marketing team.

Responsibilities will include focusing on acquiring new customers and undertaking key account development activities. Identifying and securing new contracts with customers worldwide but predominantly within Europe. Identifying and securing preferred-provider accounts, utilising different outsourcing business models. You should have had experience with RFIs, RFPs, negotiating new contracts, pricing and renegotiating contracts with client. The role develops mutually beneficial partnerships and nurture relationships with existing clients to secure and increase repeat business.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales experience within a CRO or a clinical trial technology provider.
  • An excellent level of computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • A thorough understanding of the clinical trial process.
  • Needs to be energetic and results driven.
  • The ability to conduct business in another European language would be desirable but not essential.
  • Outstanding verbal and written English and willing to travel throughout Europe at 30% typically 2-3 days every 2nd week with occasional trips to USA or Asia.
