Description

We have a great new role working with one of our partners who are hiring for a Statistics Leader.

This individual will be responsible for the overall line management of the team, ensuring effective onboarding, monitoring, performance assessment, and development of team members. This role also involves overseeing non-client activities, supporting internal projects, and serving as the main employer branding contact for HR/Marketing.

Your background will ideally include HTA, Registry and Epidemiology but could be clinical trials statistics. 

*Note that this is primarily an on-site role requiring 3 days per week in the office*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
  • Oversee the onboarding, monitoring, performance assessment, appraisal, promotions, salary review, disciplinary actions, and training needs of the statistics team.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor the line management structure.
  • Manage the onboarding (e.g., screening/interviewing) and off-boarding of permanent and contract personnel.

 

  • Non-Client Activities:
  • Lead and manage training, mentoring, onboarding, internal projects, company meetings, and support HR/marketing/scientific/employer branding initiatives.
  • Identify needs for and deliver internal projects, such as macro development and AI implementation.

     

  • Employer Branding:
  • Act as the main contact for HR/Marketing regarding employer branding efforts.

     

  • Support for Statistical Project Managers:
  • Assist with proposal costing and development.

     

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • Proven experience in statistical team management or a similar role.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Previous clinical research organisation (CRO) or consultancy experience is preferred.
    • Experience with project management and internal project delivery.
    • Familiarity with employer branding and HR/marketing support.
    • Ability to work effectively both in the office and remotely.
