Job Purpose
We are looking for an experience Contract Manager to support the growth of our client and its employees through the streamlining of the contract creation, management, and approval processes. To automate the management and workflows associated with contract through the selection and implementation of a cloud-based contract management software solution.
Key functions
The key functions performed by the Contract Manager will include, but may not be limited to the following areas:
Contract Management System
- Create requirements for contract management system.
- Evaluate market and client's existing systems for suitability.
- Select and support implementation of system.
- Provide training and first tier support for client users, in conjunction with vendor's support function.
Contract Templates
- Manage and maintain a library of contract templates to cover client software and service offerings and to cater for any differences required between EU and US contracts. For example, MSA, DPA, SaaS SLA, TOB, SOW and EO (Enterprise Order)
- Update templates as required due to legal, regulatory or client working practice changes.
- Support Sales team with selection and use of templates as needed.
Contract Reviews
- Review and approval of contracts created by sales team based on tracked changes to existing templates.
- Work with internal legal and external legal counsel to review client contracts and make recommendations for changes and highlight areas of commercial or legal risk.
- Work with clients' customers to manage review cycles involving clients to ensure the process is professional and efficient.
Contract Management
- Support Sales and Finance function by streamlining contract templates and contracting processes and workflows.
- Ensuring contracts are managed to completion at all stages in the lifecycle.
- Ensuring systems or trackers are up to date and that the data can be relied upon by other functions.
- Management and creation of new contracts where existing agreements have expired or need periodic renewal.
Required Skills:
- Good listening, written and communication skills.
- Good understand of or background in contract law.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with delivery against deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with functional heads of departments, sales team members and customers.
- Attention to detail and ownership of quality of own work.
- Experience of working with MS Office tools, especially Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Word.
- Experience of working with commercial off the shelf contract management and related systems.
- Ability to learn quickly and understand the needs of client as a business.
Qualifications:
- 3 A' Levels or equivalent standard qualifications.
Relevant commercial contract certification or diploma.
Minimum of three years' experience in a contract management role, ideally with software licencing experience
