Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. We are looking for a Management Accountant.
The key functions performed by the Management Accountant will include, but may not be limited to the following areas:
Review of the timely submission of weekly timesheets by employees and contractors, and follow-up/chase missing timesheets & incorrect data.
Preparation of the timesheet data in the Hours Recharging Workbook from the Timesheet recording software (currently Replicon) for entry into the general ledger.
Calculation of cost recognition for each month based on timesheet data entries.
Maintenance of Licence Revenue Recognition Workbooks for SaaS Products by Client and Enterprise Order based on review of trackers maintained as Excel workbooks.
Maintenance of the Project Resource Forecasting Workbook, updating each
Month based on timesheet submissions of actual hours and revised Monthly
Project Forecasts received from Operations.
Preparation of the Monthly Revenue Recognition Workbooks for each month Based on Project Resource Forecasting Workbook and Licence RevenueRecognition Workbooks.
Review of the GL invoice databases maintained by the Senior Bookkeeper for each legal entity and entry of the revenue recognized each month for each invoice and reconciliation of these databases to the Monthly Revenue
Recognition Workbook.
Review and revision of the forecast dates for all forecast invoices included in the
Contracted Invoice Databases (which records the forecast invoice date for each signed contract and the actual date and invoice number when actual invoices are issued). This data is used to determine the completeness of billing and the forecast cash receipt date for invoices which have yet to be raised.
Maintenance of the fixed asset register for IT equipment, tracking the cost and the location of IT equipment provided to remote working employees.
Preparation of monthly consolidated profit and loss account, the consolidated balance sheet and consolidated cashflow using excel workbooks and other KPI data reported on a monthly basis.
Review of draft VAT returns for consistency with weekly cashflow forecasts prior to filing.

Provide support to the business during holidays and other absences of the CFO.
Provide cover for the Senior Bookkeeper during holidays and other absences.
Involvement in future system implementation projects automation of the entry of timesheet data into the general ledger from the
timesheet recording software.
Automation of the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts forthe THL group, associated analyses of gross margin and overheads, and cashflow reporting through the use of consolidation software.

Relevant
Experience
Years of accounting experience - 3+ years
Knowledge and use of accounting packages - 3+ years
Level of competence on Excel and database management - Advanced
Level of competence of SQL and database management - preferred
Special Attributes ? Ability to work from home apart from occasional meetings in the Cambridge office (equipment provided)
Self-motivated and well organised
Ability to work under pressure when required and prepare in advance
