Description

Are you an Automated Softwae tester looking for a remote role for a rapidly growing Life Science Technology client?

Job Purpose 

  • To be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites.
  • To work closely with the development team to ensure the quality of our software products.
  • To convert manual test cases to automated tests for all tests to run on the whole application every day.
  • To mentor and coach, the software test team regarding test automation best practices and techniques.
  • The key functions performed by the Software Test Automation Engineer will include, but may not be limited to the following areas:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using
  • Selenium WebDriver and other relevant tools.
  • Execute automated tests and analyse the results to identify defects.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure that defects are properly tracked, fixed, and retested.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the application functionality.
  • Identify test scenarios and develop comprehensive test plans to cover various aspects of the software application.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that software poducts meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure that testability is considered during the development process.
  • Develop and maintain test data sets to ensure adequate test coverage and accuracy of test results.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework and test processes.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure proper integration of automated tests within the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members regarding test automation best practices and techniques.
  • Maintain test documentation and update it, as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the automated testing process.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the software products
  • being tested and the business requirements they address.
  • Develop test outcome dashboards for wider business access.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience as a Selenium automated software tester
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing methodologies,
  • principles, practices, frameworks, and tools, particularly
  • Selenium Webdriver.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps
  • EFFIellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
  • EXerience with the .NET stack and Azure
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of C# programming language.

Additional Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or extended experience within automated software testing.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • (CI/CD) tools and practices.
  • Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and
  • JavaScript.
  • JavaScript related frameworks experience desirable, e.g. React
  • JS
  • Experience with load testing tools.
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
  • Certification in software testing or related areas.
