Are you passionate about selling Therapeutic Development services into Biotech and life science? We have an exciting Business Development Director role for a market leading biometrics client. As a BD director with Therapeutic Development, you will be part of a dynamic commercial team and the Therapeutic Development Team which includes quantitative strategists and regulatory, clinical, medical, and health policy experts who support complex drug and device development programs. You will support the sales team in development cutting edge, therapeutic solutions for clients.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in one or more areas related to clinical development, including experience working across the product development lifecycle and interacting with the regulatory authorities.
- Medical Doctor and/or Biostatistician by training, with a deep understanding of how to optimize product development strategies. Non-biostatisticians must be quantitatively savvy and able to comprehensively communicate complex innovative strategies to
- multidisciplinary stakeholders, including C-suite executives
- An existing network of clinical development professionals that you can leverage
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
- Good organizational awareness and understanding of organizational priorities
- Good negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Strong business acumen with ability to work in close collaboration with sales and marketing team
- Exceptional collaboration skills with different internal teams; ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
- Experience of collaboration across business development teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and provide subject matter expertise to your peers.
- Experience with strategic partnership development and management (preferred)
- University Degree (PhD preferred)
Some Of Your Main Responsibilities and Deliverables Will Include:
- Analysis of large numbers of target accounts to identify and prioritize business opportunities, then work individually as well as with your peers within client's Business Development to formulate and execute account plans to address these opportunities.
- Identifying appropriate executive targets and aggressively prospecting to build relationships.
- Managing the end-to- end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources such as Subject Matter Experts, Consultants, Executive Leadership, Marketing, Lead Generation etc.
- Acting as a primary point-of-contact to biotech customers regarding client's TDT offerings.
- Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure over-achievement selling client's TDT services as well as potential custom software solutions to the global biotech market
- Contribute to TDT business unit discussions around go-to-market approaches
- Organize and manage industry events and working groups to generate market interest
- Remain current on relevant industry and internal company products, pricing, markets, plans and developments.
- Seek and provide customer and market awareness to client, including presenting opportunities for evaluation that could expand the company's market and product reach.
- Maintaining a long-term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation while being able to generate short term results
