Description

Are you a Marketing Manager with experience in clinical trials or a passion for healthcare and science? We have a brilliant role for you. 

Our client is a market leading expert CRO in clinical trials and medical imaging in CNS. The Marketing Communications Manager is required to help raise the corporate profile by driving communication activity to current and prospective pharmaceutical/biotech clients and investors. This is a varied role, working on content, events and working with the business development team on client campaigns too. 

Purpose of the Role:

The role holder will develop marketing and communication plans in support of the company's commercially driven growth strategy. The Manager will work closely with the senior leadership team across the business to gain their input to support the development of the plans. As part of the execution, they are expected to translate complex, cutting-edge scientific information into marketing communication. This role is varied and will be based around content generation and communication, event management, KPIs, budget management and social media strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex scientifc materials into compelling marketing communications.
  • Supporting business development in the generation of leads through brand awareness and clearly defined value propositions for our services.
  • Develop library of materials (presentations, brochures, images) that showcase the added value of our services and update in line with latest developments.
  • Develop and execute a communication plan that maximises brand awareness through website content, SEO, use of social media channels and PR ensuring consistent, high quality company communications in line with strategy.
  • Take ownership of social media strategy (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc) and website.
  • Develop social media content in line with strategy and brand positioning.
  • Develop and execute an events strategy plan in line with the strategy (conferences, webinars, press releases).
  • Manage PR companies, graphic designers, printers and website designers.
  • Translate complex scientific materials into compelling marketing communications.
  • Track marketing budget spend.
  • In support of SMART goals, report monthly to CEO on progress against marketing plan, marketing metrics / KPIs (website traffic, LinkedIn and Twitter followers, attendance at webinars, leads at events etc.).

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

Essential

  • External communications experience within the life sciences industry with experience of working within the clinical trials service industry.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and execute communication plans.
  • Impactful writing skills.
  • Proven ability to integrate well into small organisations.
  • Technical competency with social media communication, web content, multimedia.
  • Strong planning skills.
  • Demonstrates creative thinking and sound judgement for PR processes.
  • Strong on process and stakeholder management.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Excellent English with strong communications skills.
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to prepare accurate documents.

Desirable

  • Life science degree; preferably with a marketing qualification.
  • Prior experience of working in a technical/scientific organisation or in medical writing.
  • Scientific or technical degree.

This is a hybrid role ideally with 1 or 2 days a week at the London office
