Description

Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. This is a remote role. Do you have experience as a Technical Project Manager?

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Technical Project Manager (Tech PM) whose primary focus is to manage the software development life cycle across multiple streams of work. The Tech PM will drive the process of defining the scope, timelines and resource needs for each project so this information can be used to manage the project delivery as well as to support the business case for the project. In addition, the Tech PM will provide up to date reporting on the status and progress of each project both to the team and senior management. The Tech PM will work closely with the Product Management, Software Development and Test Teams, as these teams will be providing the inputs for planning and the information on progress of each task they are assigned during delivery. Therefore, the Tech PM needs to be able to build good working relationships with these different groups to ensure they create an environment where there is trust and everyone is working towards a common goal.

Ideally you will be excited by the opportunity to have a significant role in the technical development of the product, and the opportunity to be involved in the creation of an application that will truly make a difference to advancements in getting medical treatments to patients.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Full accountability for the management of project timelines, scope, resource management and milestones for one or more software development projects
  • Manage the complete software development lifecycle
  • Serve as the primary interface between Product Management, Software Development, Test and any other teams involved in a delivery.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to drive the product development process
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Enhance/introduce processes to enable effective and efficient execution of projects
  • Manage and report on resource capacity and allocation
  • Champion new project management tools, technologies and processes to enable us to meet current and future challenges
  • Be an agile advocate and build knowledge to be able to champion industry standards
  • Work closely with Product Management to help manage the required inputs to support the sizing and prioritization of the product roadmap

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years experience as a technical project manager managing the software development life cycle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capable of guiding/leading meetings and discussions
  • Experience project managing teams using agile (scrum) processes
  • Scrum Master certified preferred
  • PMI certified (for example PMP or PMI-ACP Certification) is preferred
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or similar Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools to manage the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in configuring and optimizing ALM tools and creating and managing reporting capability
