Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. Do you have experience as a Test Manager?
The Role
We are looking for a skilled, passionate and experienced Test Manager with a proven track record training and empowering test teams and being able to lead by example. The Test Manager will play a key role in the implementation of new testing strategies to support both the software development process and operational delivery. This will include new automation and manual test strategies, with the Test Manager being able to use their experience and judgement when deciding which approach is most appropriate. The Test Manager must excel within a team environment and have solid experience working with agile methodologies. We are looking for someone who is confident, forward thinking and can communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Line management, coaching and mentoring of testers
- Plan, co-ordinate, manage and report on testing activities
- In depth knowledge of agile software testing methodologies
- Represent your team within wider discussions across different stakeholder groups
- Drive collaboration between testing, development and product to ensure quality of delivery at each phase of the development cycle
- Take ownership of the delivery your team commits to
- Champion new tools and testing approaches to enable us to meet current and future testing challenges
- Experience of producing high quality test documentation: test plans, test reports and management information
- Work closely with Product Management and Development Management to provide testing estimates and insights to support the sizing and prioritization of the product roadmap
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years experience leading a test team of 5+ testers
- Prior to moving into a management role: 5+ years experience hands-on testing experience using both manual tests and test automation
- Expertise in effective test automation tools and strategies
- Experience in building effective test strategies for web-based applications
- Experience of working with user stories, requirements, acceptance test criteria to develop automated test cases
- Experience in testing cloud-based applications (ideally in Azure)
The following skills would be an advantage but not essential:
- Working knowledge of industry standards for software development and validation would be an advantage but not essential i.e. ICH E6, GaMP5, FDA Regulation 21 CFR Part 11, FDA Guidance for Industry on Computer Systems used in Clinical Investigations, FDA General Principles for Software Validation, EudraLex Volume 4 Annex 11: Computerized Systems.
- Experience with Selenium
- Experience of Selenium in combination with Java, Javascript and C#
