- Description
We're looking for a Programme Leader to report to our client's Programme Leadership Board, which leads from drug, digital, regulatory, clinical and commercial sit.
Your primary responsibility will be to support the update of the Product Development Plan (PDP)and then ensure the timely delivery of milestones against this plan. You will be supported where appropriate by Project Managers overseeing particular subsets of activities.
The programmes involve multiple stakeholders from different areas, and thus require drive, oversight and project management from an individual with the experience, skills and capability to span multiple areas, including those where they currently have less familiarity, to ensure the programme moves forward in a timely and optimally integrated way.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop a deep understanding of what's needed to meet requirements of Product Development plan.
- Must have a deep understanding of the role and value of each function on the team, establishing close ongoing ties with all team members and supporting teams, to ensure appropriate empowerment and delegation, and maintaining aligned efforts.
- Work continually with supporting teams to ensure that executed plans are consistent with the Target Product Profile (TPP) and PDP, tracking progress in conjunction with the Project Manager (PM).
- Ensure timely, multidirectional, and comprehensive interactions with all aspects of the project team.
- Review and consider emerging data objectively to drive the programme team toward recommendations that highlight opportunities, identifies and addresses potential risks, and proactively provide appropriate mitigations.
- Maintain a function-neutral position in prioritizing actions and making decisions, with an eye toward optimizing programme value in a timely and high-quality fashion.
- Overseeing relevant sub-teams and projects ensuring clear goals and performance standards are in place.

- Work with the PM to ensure that meeting agendas, background materials, and minutes are complete and available in a timely manner, with pending decisions clearly outlined, to enable the PLB to focus on strategy and decision-making, and to enable optimal communication of issues to supporting teams, team members, and functions.
- Liaise with the key team members that they stay abreast of professional information, industry trends, and emerging technology through conferences, medical literature, and other available training, to augment expertise in drug and MDP development.
- Work with relevant team members to maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the commercial competitive environment in the field and to assess for potential impact on ongoing projects and programs.
What you'll bring:
- Experience managing programmes or projects in a highly regulated industry
- Demonstrating projects that have been delivered in a timely manner.
- Experience delivering programmes/ projects involving complex problems and examples of different methodologies used.
- Line Management Experience
Nice to Have:
- Medical experience or experience operating in a highly regulated industry (e.g. life science, finance)
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as IEC 62366.
