Description

Are you a Clinical Project Manager or Senior Project Manager looking for a new challenge in a rapidly growing clinical research organisation, with a strong focus on technology and digital health and clinical trials? You will need a proven background in clinical trials to be able to be considered for this role ideally from Pharma or CRO. 

Our client have lead digital health technologies for serious diseases of the brain. They work across all phases of clinical research and provide expert digital solutions to complex medical problems.

Role Requirements :

The Senior Project Manager will lead a team of Project Managers and provide oversight and direction for full project life cycle support to all assigned projects. We can consider project managers too, where you wouldn't need to supervise and manage teams. 

The role will have responsibility for a broad portfolio of projects, but will carry a limited project portfolio as an acting Project Manager. Projects allocated will be those in start-up or complex delivery phases and may be handed on to another member of the team once established.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for training new Project Managers placed on their team including supporting and developing them in planning and preparation, escalation issues, customer meetings and general activities. This includes setting priorities, targets and objectives.

This is a key role within the Operations Team ensuring successful delivery of projects, achieving targets and continuous improvement. This position also interfaces with other departments and externally with partners, sponsors and customers.

The key deliverables for this role include:

  • Meeting revenue and budget targets for a portfolio of projects.
  • Setting, monitoring and meeting key delivery metrics.
  • Planning resources and forecasting work.
  • Line management and development of team of Project Managers.
  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring company policies and/or process changes and ensure that such changes are correctly adopted into the Project Management department.
  • Support Business Development and input to new project proposals, attending bid defences and conferences as necessary.
  • Coordinating cross functional teams (including external 3rd parties/vendors when necessary) to ensure efficient processing of project requirements.
  • Provide project updates to clients on a regular basis, including conducting routine client teleconferences and maintaining accurate meeting minutes.
  • Revenue forecasting, milestone and invoice tracking and coordinating budget updates.
  • Escalating issues to management, including delivery related risks, as appropriate and leading on timely resolution of CAPAs.
  • Meeting project management metrics on assigned projects, including quality, compliance, KPI and revenue objectives.
  • Ensuring project(s) audit/inspection readiness at all times.
  • Maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree ( business or life sciences) plus experience of clinical trials ideally in CRO or Pharma 
  • Good Project Management / Planning / Managerial experience with multiple projects of varying complexities across all project life-cycle phases.
  • Experience managing aspects of clinical trials.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) obtained or in progress highly desired.
  • Demonstrates an excellent understanding of clinical research phases, the processes involved in the planning and management of a clinical trial, and the application of these in day to day responsibilities in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in collaborative academic and/or commercial healthcare projects is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide deliverables accurately, on time and on budget across all assigned projects.
  • Previous experience managing clinical trials in CRO or Pharma is critical
