Are you a Senior Editor? Our client is rapidly growing in RWE and Phase II and III studies. It's a great chance for an ambitious Digital Communications Director to be a part of an exciting, growing business in the office. This role is based in the Marlow or London office. Excellent PowerPoint skills are essential and Life Science experience.

Key Details:

- Demonstrated editorial skills across a range of core tasks including: top-line proofing/quality control checks (assessing for sense, consistency, spelling and grammar etc.), editing (thorough structural review and assessment of clarity), proofing of artwork (checking layout, design, consistency of colours etc versus original copy)
- Capability to apply core editorial skills across a variety of written and electronic materials, including but not limited to: PowerPoint presentations, manuscripts, proposals/pitch presentations, marketing materials, websites and printed artwork materials
- Offer support to the medical writing team in the development of reference packs, completing accuracy crosschecks and uploading key materials onto client approval systems eg Zinc as necessary
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively, liaising with key project contacts where conflicts occur and ensuring all projects are delivered within agreed deadlines
- Excellent team skills - as a member of a central resource must be able to communicate/interact effectively with all functions in the company
- Develop an understanding of the purpose/aims of healthcare marketing/communications (or related field)
- Champion editorial processes and be a good source of information on these processes for colleagues
- Champion editorial processes and represent a key contact for the company on best practices, including maintenance of the company house style (as appropriate)
- Line management / mentoring / training of junior editorial team members (as appropriate)
- Develop and disseminate understanding of specialist editorial skills including understanding of the publishing process, copyright requirements and journal/KOL identification
- Communications house style, journal submissions, copyright etc
- Take a lead role and work with the Scientific Services Director to resource workload effectively, including engagement and management of freelance support as required
- Demonstrate an understanding of financial and commercial objectives, contributing to budget development as appropriate
