Are you a CTO looking for a new challenge in a rapidly growing clinical research organisation focused on medical imaging, with a strong focus on technology and digital health? A proven background in clinical trials would be a massive advantage
Purpose of the Role:
We require an Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide strong technical leadership in the delivery of our next generation image analysis platform, as well as focussed mentorship and development of our Technology and Development teams.
You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our technology is developed appropriately, encompasses best practice and is scoped with both the present and future opportunities open to the Company in mind.
Strategic thinking and strong leadership, as well as a commitment to developing the existing teams, and in particular current team leads in preparation for them to step up into broader leadership positions, are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with the specifics of the clinical trials market.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the internally developed software solution, ranging from the requirements definition to the development and deployment of the software's next generation.
- Continue to evolve associated security, validation and quality aspects as well as data protection processes in the relevant areas of the project.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and validation of the system implementation
- Proactively interrogate, own and address potential technology, security or compliance risks in the Company's technology infrastructure
- Understand the landscape of third-party image management platforms and be aware of relevant new technologies that could yield competitive advantage.
- Drive necessary improvements and adjustments to technology by using stakeholders feedback.
- Monitor and report against set KPIs and budgets to assess technological performance and ensure effective investment of company resources.
- Provide mentorship, coaching and development to managers of the Technology and Development team to enable and strengthen internal leadership positions.
- Effectively communicate the technology strategy to partners and investors on an appropriate level.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role, preferably in a scientific environment (Life Sciences, Pharma, Research etc.)
- Strong people management skills and experience
- Proven experience in leading customer-oriented development solutions and product lifecycle management
- Hands on experience with complex project management including across functional teams
- Comfortable with Cloud technologies
- Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
- Experience of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
- Excellent communication skills

Professional Development : BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant qualification is a plus
