Description

Are you a Data Manager looking for a new challenge in a rapidly growing clinical research organisation, with a strong focus on technology and digital health? You will need a proven background in clinical trials to be able to be considered for this role.

Our client have lead digital health technologies for serious diseases of the brain. They work across all phases of clinical research and provide expert digital solutions to complex medical problems.

This role will be appointed with the purpose of executing standard, advanced and complex or novel data management tasks in clinical research studies, including performing data checks and reconciliations, preparation of departmental and project documentation, and execution of interim and final data transfers. Responsibilities include the oversight and training of junior colleagues, and contributing to the department's procedural documents and reports.

Main Role Requirements:

  • Perform routine and ad hoc hygiene checks on project data.
  • Perform Data Reconciliation of external data.
  • Configure database extracts to support data transfers.
  • Validate the transfer/data prior to submission to sponsor.
  • Writing standard/complex Data Transfer Agreement and Image Transfer Agreements.
  • Perform standard/non-standard Data and Image Transfers.
  • Handling and processing of Clinical Device Data (e.g. wearables)
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling, also assisting in standardizing and documenting data management procedures.
  • Define and implement Data Metrics and KPI's.
  • Perform QC on all aspects of work performed in Data Management to ensure that data quality and integrity is maintained.
  • Interact with other project team members to support the set-up, maintenance, and closure of the Data Management aspects of the project.
  • Oversight and training of junior members of the DM team
  • working knowledge of each of the tasks performed within the department, and to be able to provide coverage for a broad range of tasks as and when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate management of the receipt, tracking and recording of incoming data (including those received via methods other than e-transfer [e.g. CDs]), into the appropriate database including trackers.
  • Managing the upload of data into the data platform/ project-specific database on applicable projects.
  • Administrative tasks within trials such as adding sites/users to a trial

Requirements:

  • Degree Level Educated
  • > 5 years Experience of working in data management within a clinical trials environment essential
  • Strong IT skills essential (working within cloud-based database systems desirable) and demonstrate experience of working with a variety of data formats
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
