We are delighted to be working in Partnership exclusively with our client in Cambridge looking for a Lead UI Designer, You will already be or want to apply knowledge and experience to the creation of a leading cloud-based platform for the clinical trials industry a growing team.
Growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. This role is for a UI Designer who is passionate about technology and development ideally have experience within Life Sciences
The focus will be the re-build of the product, which will see the technical stack being evaluated and significant improvement to the user experience, and expansion and enhancement of the core functionality.

Working as part of the product development team, this role will be a cornerstone to their software future success.
With so much relying on the usability and 'stickiness' of the product as they add to the functions and expand the user community, this will be a critical role in their business.
This is an opportunity to influence and shape the user experience in a relatively greenfield environment with input from industry leaders and a growing user community.
It is essential that you bring an understanding of not only the importance of building an aesthetically pleasing UI but the understanding of how users will interact with the design, and the importance of using a platform like ours to create a community to help and support our industry as it adapts with this paradigm shift in clinical trial monitoring and oversight.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant web application design experience, industry experience an advantage

- Collaborative approach to design, ability to work with senior developers to understand technical considerations and work to optimal build

- Ability to take responsibility for the consistency and quality of deliverables
Technical Skills (not exclusive)
- Experience of visual Communication techniques
- Wireframing and prototyping techniques, experience of tools such as Sketch, Justinmind, Axure
- Interaction Design methodology
- Experience of Agile SDLC and applying Interaction Design to support Agile SDLC
- Ability to conduct User Experience Research
- Experience in data visualisation design is an advantage but not essential
You will be responsible for:
- Working with BA team to understand requirements
- Working with Design Lead to understand the vision for the platform and conducting UI/UX research to better support the vision
- Working with development to ensure integration of UI design
- Delivering design to an aggressive timescale
- Development of visual prototypes, including wireframes for design concepts
- Working with Development team to transition design concepts and support during the build phase
- Conducting design testing, experience of analytical design testing would be an advantage for the product rebuild
- Helping to build the framework for interaction with the user community
- Creation and maintenance of project design documentation
