If you enjoy Clinical Data Management, we have an amazing Manager, Clinical Data Management role for a leading neuroimaging Contract Research Organization (CRO). Idealy you have to be passionate about clinical trials and also be open to working on technocal medical imaging data. You will also enjoy working as part of a team as well as managing a team effectively.
Purpose of the Role:
The Data Management Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and delivery of our client's data management, as well as overseeing that the end-to-end dataflow on each Project is documented, correctly implemented, controlled, and managed to facilitate the delivery of high quality, timely data transfers. The role will utilise extensive experience to lead impactful process and productivity improvements, and initiate data quality initiatives based on data management expertise and knowledge of industry standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Day-to-day operational management and delivery of client's data management, including delivery of transfers and transfer agreements.
- Overseeing dataflow on each Project to ensure this is documented, correctly implemented, controlled, and managed to facilitate the delivery of high quality, timely data transfers, in alignment with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with the Principal Data Manager to create and maintain procedural documentation and training for effective data management.
- Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to regulatory and clients standards.
- Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.).
- Act as the escalation point for data-related problems and authorise maintenance or modifications.
- Represent the Data Management function in Client audits and bid defence meetings.
- Line Management of a team of Data Managers, setting and adhering to quantifiable productivity and quality KPIs.
- Manage resource and workload allocation.
- Recruit, motivate, train, and develop the team.
- Identify and lead process improvement projects to optimise quality, productivity, and preparation of data to transfer timelines.
- Maintain open, positive, and collaborative channels of communication with all colleagues.
- Effectively communicate with the Science, Technology, and Operations Teams and when the data requires cross-function collaborations, and to implement impactful process improvements.
- In conjunction with clients QA team, lead on documenting and resolving Deviation Reports and Corrective & Preventative Action Plans (CAPAs) relating to the remits of Data Management and Image Analysis.
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
Essential
- University qualification in a scientific or analytical discipline.
- Data Management expertise in the Clinical Trials, or equivalent industry experience
- Excellent people management skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and organised.
- Ability to work independently and in a highly regulated environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and clinical data management systems.
Desirable
- Knowledge of SAS and SQL is highly desirable.
