Description

On behalf of our client in Central London Pop Science is delighted to offer the position of Solutions Consultant (SaaS) to join their team. This role would suit an innovator who is looking to move to a young company where there are opportunities for everyone at all levels. You will be working with enterprise level pharmaceutical companies.

My client are a team of experts who have developed a market leading product, a web and mobile based solution enabling the capture of safety data across marketed products today and moving into clinical studies in the future. This dynamic software has been configured to support data capture within post-approval Programs (RWE, Patient Support & Market Research) and general spontaneous reporting, ensuring the earliest detection of safety or quality issues. This can be utilised by Consumers, Healthcare Professionals, Medical Representatives, Call Centre Personnel, Non-PV Staff, and other 3 rd party intermediaries.

The Solutions Consultant supports our customers to deliver on their business strategy. The post holder works directly with potential customers to understand their business and technical needs, mapping those needs into product demonstrations and proposals related to the solution and then manages those proposals into contracted sales.

You are responsible for:

1. CORE FUNCTIONS

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) build strong customer relationships, creatively craft solutions to potentially complex issues, and drive to a timely sale.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research prospective customers to determine how to support their business strategy.
  • Proactively identify solutions for customers tailored to their business requirements and budget.
  • Lead the creation of pricing proposals with new customers working with internal experts.
  • Deliver clear and effective written and spoken proposals/quotations/responses to RFI/RFP for prospective and current customers.
  • Demonstrate products and services to potential/existing customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with prospective and current customers to generate new business for products/services.
  • Proactively schedule meetings and presentations with prospective and existing customers.
  • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, and technical service groups.
  • Deliver customer contracts based on principles agreed in pre-sales discussions.
  • Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers considering profile, share and value opportunities.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.

3. CORE SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong communicator who is organised and has the confidence to create and then drive creative solutions through to a sale.
  • Ability to write clear, concise business proposals with an eye for detail
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to research new customers with a view to entering discussions on opportunities to address business requirements
  • Able to build strong partnerships with cross functional internal stakeholders and external partners (to drive novel technical approaches to deliver a customer's vision)

4. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Significant demonstrable experience of selling/delivering technical SaaS solutions to the Life Sciences Industry
  • Previous evidence of becoming an SME in a Life Sciences technology domain.
  • Experience in managing Customer Relationships
  • Experience of driving Commercial Relationships
