We've got a great role for a Clinical Project Director to help lead and grow a data analytics and clinical trials team.
My client is entering a phase of high innovation and needs a candidate who is confident in developing new processes, alongside developing their team's careers and delivering to client's requirements too.
The Project Management Director is a new role appointed with the purpose of leading and managing a team of project managers; setting priorities, targets and objectives to ensure the successful delivery of all clinical contracts, collaborations and grant-funded projects, with a goal of achieving high levels of compliance and quality, excellent customer satisfaction, and supporting faster and more efficiency project delivery.
The role is a senior position within the Company and will be part of the wider leadership team, reporting into the VP and with regular interaction with the CFO and other members of the senior leadership team. The role may also be required to deputise for the VP PMO, and present to the Senior Leadership Team from time to time on specific aspects of the Project Management functions.
This role will set Aspirational goals for the way the Company manages its portfolio of clinical projects, with a mind to the continued growth and scaling of the Company in the future. The role will require an individual of significant Ability and experience in the field of clinical trials across all phases and levels of complexity, someone able to, through strong leadership, line management, and problem solving, work with Agility to build consistency, quality and excellence into the Company's project management practice. Finally, the role requires an individual who relishes the Accountability that comes with this leadership role.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of project managers; including selection, monitoring and appraisal, training and development, to build and retain a capable and motivated talent pool
Hold responsibility for the delivery of all clinical projects to timelines and milestones agreed with customers and delivery against project budget revenues and gross margins
Work closely with the Project Management Office to define the resource requirements needed to execute on all project management functions.
Responsible for the successful growth of the portfolio of clinical projects, establishing and refining planning, review and reporting practices and tools.
Point of escalation for issues and deviations within clinical projects with responsibility for complaint handling and the timely resolution of departmental CAPAs.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring departmental procedures and, as part of continuous improvement, identify changes and ensure that these are correctly adapted into the quality management system.
Support the Business Development team with personnel and other resources to respond to RFIs and RFPs, attend bid defence meetings and conferences as required.
Ensure all projects under their responsibility are delivered in accordance with the Company's quality management system requirements including applicable regulatory standards, and accountable for ensuring audit readiness, at all times.
Support the Quality team with people and resources for internal and external audit and inspection.
Maintain and develop the Project Management team's effective working relationships within the organisation, and with customers, partners and suppliers/vendors.
Qualifications and skills:
Essential
Understanding of neuroscience and ideally imaging and data analytic product and service offering
Educated to at least degree level in a relevant health science or business discipline
Able to demonstrate extensive experience in clinical trial project management across all phases of clinical trials
Extensive experience in team leadership and management, including remote working
An excellent and confident communicator, who enjoys working with individuals across teams and organisations to achieve best outcomes in winning and delivering services.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, including ability to understand complex clinical information and patient safety impacts, to guide and advise timely decisions and follow through to resolution
Thorough working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, including ICH Guidelines, FDA's Code of Federal Regulations, Clinical Research Ethics, GDPR/HIPAA, and other regional and local requirements and regulations
Strong financial understanding, including the abili
