Description

Our client is growing at pace due to the success of their Industry leading products for clinical trials. This role is for a Fullstack Developer who is passionate about technology and keen to learn new development skills.

Pop Science are working in Partnership exclusively looking for this Fullstack Developer, working with clients who want to apply knowledge and experience to the creation of a leading edge technology for the clinical trials industry.

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Fullstack Developer, with advanced experience building complex and scalable web applications and APIs using the latest technologies. This role will work closely with our development lead, designers, and testers in a fast-paced environment to plan, develop, test, and deploy a data-intensive, responsive and scalable web application.

You must have deep experience and knowledge of.NET Core, MSSQL, and MongoDB. In additional to fundamental skills, you also have the knowledge and experience of building complex back-end business logic and APIs. Ideally you will have previously worked with large MongoDB databases and aggregation pipelines and will have written complex MSSQL stored procedures. Ideally, you will worked to develop front end web and API. 

In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of the data model, data processing, database logic, and API (both internal and customer-facing). We are looking for dependable and consistent output and delivery - those are key metrics that will determine whether you are the right candidate for this role. You must have a strong passion for learning new things, exploring new ways of doing things, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. Creative problem solving, attention to detail, and clean code are also required skills for this role. Collaboration is also a large part of the development and overall team culture so the ability to work and collaborate with others is a requirement.

Ideally you will be excited by the opportunity to have a significant role in the technical development of the product, and the opportunity to be involved in the creation of an application that will truly make a difference to advancements in getting medical treatments to patients.

Skills

Minimum of three years of relevant development experience

  • Self-motivated
  • Enjoy working in a small results-oriented team
  • Creative and visionary
  • Ability to transition concepts and vision into detailed specifications and on to reliable, high quality products
  • Ability to take responsibility for the consistency and quality of all deliverables

Technical Experience (not exclusive)

  • Understanding of object -oriented design patterns, functional programming, dependency injection, unit testing, software architecture, concepts of abstraction
  • Application development using C# and .Net Core and web development programs such as CSS .html. xml
  • Extensive experience and best-practice knowledge around building REST APIs with C#, MongoDB, and MSSQL
  • Experience with version control systems such as GIT or VSTS
  • Proficient in debugging and solving issues
  • Working with JSON data structures
  • Experience in building single-page applications (SPA) and websites
  • Exposure to cloud-based environments such as Microsoft Azure Dev-Ops.

Desired but not essential

  • Exposure or experience with C#, Node, GraphQL/Apollo, D3

You will be responsible for:

  • Architecting and implementing a powerful  data visualization solution using the latest technologies
  • Architecting and implementing front end web and API solutions solution using the latest technologies
  • Developing the core logic for performing powerful big-data analysis on a MongoDB database
  • Developing MSSQL procedures for the complex importing of large data sets
  • Working at the direction of development lead and in collaboration with other developers/engineers to solve problems and complete projects successfully and on time
  • Diagnosing and solving issues and bugs reported by the test team
  • Contributing to peer code reviews and pair-programming
  • Refactoring and optimizing code
  • Sharing knowledge with and collaborating with other developers
