We've got a brilliant roles for a contracts and proposals expert to join our client's team in exciting expansion times. You will need to have a good background in clinical trials and ideally biometrics too.

The role of the Contracts and Proposals Manager is to support the business in the development and management of client proposals and contracts, outsourcing vendor contracts, and resource partner relationships and contracts.
Ideally, you will be able to get to the London office for regular meetings, but there is flexibility on location and working from home.
Budgets & Proposals
- Support Business Development and operational teams in liaison with current and potential clients in relation to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) and bid defence meetings
- Facilitate responses to RFIs, pre-qualification questionnaires and invitations to tender
- Review RFPs: work collaboratively with assigned operational and Business Development resources to ensure RFP scope fully evaluated for budgetary inclusion
- Develop client proposals including collaboration with Business Development, Account Managers and operational teams to create budgets and compile high quality proposal documents including identifying information for proposal text and other related documents. Ensure the scope of work is fully defined and budgets accurately reflect the scope
- Strong salesforce skills to ensure effective tracking of client proposals
- Attend / organise internal and external meetings for RFPs, RFIs, client pitches and bid defence meetings
Contracts
- Manage contract management processes for assigned clients/projects relating to Confidentiality Agreements (CDA), Master Services Agreements (MSA), Statement of Work (SOW) and Change Orders (CO) through contract lifecycle, from contract award, amendments and up to and including archiving
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as legal, Account Managers, Senior Management ensuring all contract document content is thoroughly reviewed and meet needs and expectations
- Provide timely communication with clients and internal stakeholders to update on status of contract negotiations
- Liaise and maintain relationships with outsourcing vendors, prepare vendor-specific RFPs and obtain vendor quotes, where applicable
- Maintain relationships and contracts with resource partners
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives in regard to Contracts department policies, procedures, guidelines and training materials
- Support and actively participate in process improvement initiatives relating to the development of contract and proposal templates, tools and relating systems
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the contracts department with the strategic goals of the organisation
General
- Excellent prioritisation skills to ensure you meet deadlines for proposals and contracts by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, preparing budgets and documents, reviews and approvals
- Support the Leadership and Management Team with any other ad hoc tasks
- Perform work in full compliance with applicable internal and client policies, procedures, processes and training
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- BSc or BA preferably in Business or Life Sciences, Business Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- At least 5 years' experience working in proposals, contracts or industry specific operations experience and preferably with experience in bid preparation and defence, contract and budget preparation, interpretation, negotiation, and change order management
- Knowledge of CRO Industry advantageous (knowledge of Biotrics and ideally Medical Statistics, Clinical Data Management and other clinical trials operational areas a big plus)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and understanding of costing models
- Ability to interpret RFPs and protocols
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
